RH 2b Top Seat Belt Mounts
Jaybeee - 9/2/10 at 11:56 AM

Can anyone confirm my fears? In the picture below it shows a single mounting
point for the seatbelt top mount.

Will this pass IVA? I thought the mount needs to be fully welded is this
correct?

Jaybee,

You need to paste this:

into the box when you add an image.

how many patients do you have and how often do you lose them?

looks like its a fully welded in threaded insert to me. Should be ok as long as you've got enough distance between the bottom of the seat and the top of the mount. Personally i'd have a brace to the rear of the mounting as well. 3GES do some nice ones based on the Chris Gibbs book design (guess what i used). Although you can easily make some by buying a strip of steel and drilling a hole in it then welding it to the middle of the threaded boss you've already god.

It matches the diagrams in the IVA manual and many 2bs have passed with this setup
