Heater - DIY effort
stevegough - 13/6/10 at 07:44 PM

Just thought I'd post some pics of the heater I've been working over the last week.

Saw a set up at stoneleigh on the CBS stand to build a small heater unit, so I thought I'd have a go myself.....

Couple of bits of ally, a mini heater matrix
off the 'bay...

a bit of careful measuring and bending.....

Then, I did a bit of cutting and chopping of the Sierra's twin fans, after aborting trying to find one small enough off a scrapyard. And it turned out quite neat - even though I do say it myself......
...........it will sit just in front of the scuttle (no room inside for it)

what do you think?

Think its when the engine gets right up to temp on a summers day, and alls you can feel is your legs slowly roasting in the footwell.

A nice very neat job Do you have a folder, or do you do it my way, with various lengths of steel angle?

Thanks for the compliment, 40inch - Sadly, I don't have any special folding equipment, but I used lots of bits of wood, a couple of 'speedclamps' and the trusty australian - made Triton 'superjaws' - pictured below..... Rescued attachment windscreen assy.JPG
