Do these seats have enough strength/support to enable them to be mounted to an adjustable runner and set away from the rear bulkhead??

I watch with interest as mine are Cobra Roadsters and I am thinking of fitting runners too

I haev Cobra roadster seats which are mounted on runners, supplied by Cobra and bolted through 1" extra chassis rails to the floor, feel very firm to me.

Seat belts are through the holes and to the roll bar behind as well as the lap part being fixed to the chassis to the side, and tunnel.

Mine have been fine for the last 6 years or so although I have heard of one that broke but the owner is a little on the heavy side

I had'nt mentioned it yet!

Somethings wrong with mine after 4 years of "heavy" use. When I get a week or two free froim driving it I'll have a look

But seriously they are designed to be self supporting and are deemed so as part of the SVA. Do it.

Mine have been fitted on runners for five years with no problems. HTH Ray
