short Legged Drivers..

Icant be the only short person with a desire to drive?? can i? well the problem is this i need to moove the seat forwards only by a couple of inches...has anyone done this before and have any pics? i was thinking of making a small openable contained for behind the seat..any suggestions or pics will make me feel bettter....but for now standing in a bucket of water trying to grow..

That's what you need. In my locost I used adjustable seat runners on the drivers side, but if you are going to be the only driver you could tailor the position to you. Move the seat and column to where you feel reasonable and fix at that.It can't be harder than drilling a couple of extra holes.

why not just put the seat on runners? The book idea of makign everything fixed seems really hit and miss to me. Get it wrong and yer stuck with it.

I managed to adapt the seat runners from the donor car to go on my bought in seats.

I'm only 5'8", my seats are quite far forward, enough room to stick a small amount of shopping, a couple of coats etc.

If you are fairly close, you could come down to take a look

Wouldn't it be easier to move the peddles foward.

I went for floor mounted peddles for the opposite reason as I am a thin lanky git.
