Finding the standard sierra rear view mirror attached to the top centre of the windscreen obscures my forward view some times (cars on motor way slip
roads and other side junctions in particular). Any idea of a smaller classic looking mirror or some other solution to this issue?

I don't know about a different mirror, but I had the same problem with my Sierra mirror... so I turned it upside-down on its pivot (so the tilt
lever was pointing upwards.)
This meant that the mirror bit was a bit higher - just enough to give me a better view.
I had exactly the same problem - the Sierra type mirror blocked out a huge proportion of the view out of the screen because it is much closer to yjavascript:image()our face than it would be in a tintop, and lower down. I replaced it with one of these and fixed it slightly offcentre to the left. Job done!
How about a slightly modified Ka mirror mounted on the dash so lower down?

Thanks guys some good ideas, have a few spare sticky pads so will try inverting first (as it's lowcost )..

Note that the mount goes on as before - it's just the mirror itself that gets turned over on its pivot!
