To flock or not to flock, am I really asking this question!!!

Hi all,

I am removing some unwanted lights and switches from my dash so I will have to fill the holes and smooth back. I was going to spray black aswell due to the colour scheme of the car.

I love the look of flocked dashes in tin top trackday cars but im not sure about in a se7en. I have spoken to the main guy who does it in the south east and he says there is no worry regarding weathering and slight damp.

I was thicking though about its look. Do you think it would look good flocked or not?
Thanks in advance.

Happy tinkering,
Biz

erm... really? lol
not my cup of tea, plus i think it tends to rub off quite easy doesn't it? on a car, where its under a windscreen, maybe ok, but with damp/rain, i think it'll end up looking quite rank, quite quick...

Fine in a rally car but IMHO not a good idea in a 7 type car!

isnt the idea of flocking to stop glare bouncing off the horizontal sections of dash in a tintop? Surely on a near vertical in a seven it will have no use apart from aesthetically (sp?). I dont think it would look that good either tbh.

What about a carbon wrap or something?

I think flocking looks cool, but as above, not sure how much it would suit a seven.
