Can anyone recomend me a fabric seat cleaner? I bought a pair of MX5 seats for next to nothing, they are structurally very good but, need a good deep
clean.
My last few cars have been leather interior, so no recent experience of cleaning fabrics.
Cheers.
Pete.
i bought some carpet cleaner to clean my 5 series cream cloth interior. it worked really well.
the AAA stuff was good. i put it on with a spounge and used the wet vax to get it nearly dry again. then i put my patio heater in the garage with the
car in there with windows open and it dried really well. came up like new.
hope thats useful.....
you can hire a wet vax thing for about £10 a day if you dont have one.
I bought some of that American Amway stuff. Fabric and Upholstery Cleaner. Worked a treat.
I once watched someone clean an interior (out of the car) with a pressure washer.
The force of the blast took the water straight through the seats and left them surprisingly dry, and very clean
Thanks guys, I have an old vax, and a pressure washer....
Think I'll set Mrs on with the gentler approaches 1st, the seats are all sponge no springing so I'm guessing they'd take forever to dry
out.
I use 1001 carpet cleaner with some very hot water, I put it in a spray bottle, spray on the seats then wipe over with a clean damp cloth.

I have done exactly that, and all the boot carpets,
I've always used TFR, dilute in some water and scrub away, i have a Karcher seat cleaner to hoover it out, always comes up like new
Tesco do thier own brand in of form in a squirty tin for £1.50. I used it on my trucks at work and it worked a treat and trucks get dirty!
Spray on, scrub with a brush and leave to dry.
