I have a singleseater with fibreglass seat and 4-point harness.
I would like to change it to 5/6-point harness but the seat lacks a slot for the anti-submarine strap.
Can I just cut a slot myself? Anyone done that before?
And if yes, where exactly should it be cut? Just behind the crutch?
This is the seat
my recaro seat has the sub strap just to i can see the hole when im sat down. (just next to your junk)
Means when its tight it doesnt pinch to bad but stops you ending up in footwell.
how are you going to remove sharp edges after cutting....

dremel should work... wont be the quickest but will work
good luck
I converted a standard Caterham seat to 5 point fixing. I cut the hole in the base and sandwiched an alloy bezel and 1/2"ply underneath the seat.
Your seat should be easy to modify with a drill and hacksaw blade. Sit in the seat and mark out the slot
just in front of you.
