Plastic pannels
samjc - 24/11/11 at 07:26 PM

Hello lcb, looking at options but most of all funds for the kit, as ally is so expensive im thinking for all interior bits doing them in plastic like colourd perspecs or any other solid plastics would this work and be iva friendly, only thinking bits to cover up in cockpit and top of the tunnel as my tub in thick kevlar/ fiberglass so it would be to cover up as the lumpy bits saves tones of filler,

Any ideas ??

Ali will be the cheapest compared to fibreglass or Perspex....

Grp panels are easier as they come built but not cheap.

Well after saving money as ive got ally to order for side pannels but hoping to try get seconds, as for inside the tub I need a back pannel (behind seats) to cover fiberglass thats their, need both passenger and drivers tunnels lining but was going to carpet it all like a flock effect but.need a look at what others have done as I thort plastic bieces to line onside of framework would look good,

Any pictures inside of.peoples cars ??

I bought 8x4 sheets for £19 as they had marks all over them but I used it to cover the underneath so it didn't matter.

If the ally is a bit rough, you can always sand down to 250, then spray with cans. I did that and it turned out great. Do a clear coat afterwards though, or it scratches off. I recommend black wherever possible. I didn't do that, instead going with yellow, orange and white, which looks good for about one day.
