Anyone got a close up of JK composites seat pads?
Davegtst - 2/2/12 at 03:13 PM

As above, anyone got a close up picture of their seat pads? I started making some out of camping mat but the foam marks very easily and really needs some sort of vinyl cover. Was just wondering if it is worth trying to make my own ones or pay the £120 for a set of jk composites pads. Are they good quality as their picture is pretty small on their site.

They're good quality. Not sure I have any close up pics but I'm pretty happy with mine.

I had the JK seat pads fitted to MK seats in my last Indy, good quality black vinyl, Ive not got any close up pictures, but these are the best Ive got.

Just to add, Danny at MK is having some seat pads made to fit there seats, £100 a set, so if you have MK seats this would be your best option, as fitting the JK pads to the MK seats was not a easy job

I did know thanks. Due to all the grief I've had with mk over my kit I won't be sending any more of my money there way.

Camping mats do mark easily.

try going to an early learning centre a get a child's play mat. that won't mark or break up. you need more rubber content.

Brought some seat pads from JK last month, haven't had chance to fit them yet.

Therefore I've taken a couple of photos of the smaller pads see below.

Hope these help.

Cheers,
Iain

Thanks Iain, thats just what i was after. Looks like i'll order myself a set of those, i don't think i could get near the quality if i made them myself. Just got to decide black or white.

I've already got the JK seats. How do you attach the pads ?

PAUL FISHER - 16/3/12 at 12:47 PM

They are just stuck on with contact adhesive.

The yellow/black combination is excellent.
