trimming

Hi guys has anybody got any advice or tips on interior trimming, what to use , methods etc. Need to start on mine soon and have never done it before!! All help very much appreciated.

look at the thread 'handbrake sharp edges' about 20 subjects below this.

Depends on how light weight a car you are going for. Mines beign fully trimmed, even at the sides. I used 6mm mdf panels, padded with felt, then overwapped with vinyl. All held on with staples and a 5 quid gun from b and q.

Also do a search under marks name for hippy roll. it will say how he used padding.

I know it's hardly race car spec but MDF is useful. It's handy as it is easy to cut and can be sanded to almost any shape. It can be threaded or will take cut down rivnut (a dap of two part resin glue for a really good fixing) which means with a bit of thought you can fix without screws etc showing.
