Im currently using an OMP Superquadro wheel in my VortX, but i fancy changing to a smaller wheel. Ive seen the RMD wheels which are the same sort of design ( D shape made from black suede with yellow band to show the top of the wheel) but im unsure how small to go.

My current wheel is 320mm (12.5"

The choise of RMD wheel id choose between are 285mm, and 255mm. Has anyone else swapped from a 320mm down to a smaller size have any comments, or recommendation as what to choose? is 255mm a bit too small making it harder to control if the car gets a bit skittish?
Im currently using a paddle shift setup, so obviously ill have to trim my paddles a bit smaller if i swap to a smaller wheel. Also choosing a smaller wheel means my paddles will be shorter meaning i have less leverage when pulling the lever possibly making shifting up/down a bit harder?

Iv got a 230mm, takes bit of getting used to but with controlled inputs its good, can catch slides quickly too

I had a 10" wheel on my Indy plus a standard rack at first. The combination was awful, driving round winding country lanes was hard work.

Changing to a 13" wheel made it more manageable and the real difference was felt when i fitted a quick rack which has given a good all round combination. For the sake of experimentation I might try going back to the smaller wheel though i suspect this could be less ideal for urban driving especially parking.
