Trying to work out exactly what switches I need. Im liking the look of the savage switches but with the list I have drafted up its going to be 8
switches/lights so is going to be quite expensive - therefore need to make sure I have got it right. This list is compiled from looking what switches
various other people have used and I was wondering if I need them all or can I loose some?
So far I have got...... (colour of LED shown too)
Latching switches
Side light - Green
Dipped headlight - Green
Main beam - Blue
Rear fog - Amber
Momentary switch
Horn - Red
Engine Start - Red
Warning light
indicator warning light - Green (operated by on-off-on rocker switch)
Brake warning light - Red (switch on master cylinder reservoir)
Is the anything I have missed or got completely wrong here? Any other advice from people with regards to choosing switches?
Cheers!!
Oil press warning light
alternator warning light.
Pretty sure that the rear fog needs to be red and not amber ( maybe wrong though)
Wipers switch
Hazard warning switch.
If you haven't already, your brake warning light also needs a test switch.
Most people use the handbrake for this.
So the brake reservoir and handbrake operate the same brake warning light
As far as i am aware, you also don't need any lights for the dipped beam as long as the switch is adequately labelled.

I also thought the dipped and main beam needed to be mutually exclusive, so when you turned on the main beam, it turned off the dipped beam. I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure I saw that somewhere.
Ah, I missed Hazard switch.
For the oil pressure, I am using the GSXR clocks and I believe there is an oil warning on the screen?
Whats the alternator warning light for? Also I have seen people with a fan override switch. Is it recommended to have an override for the cooling
fan on a BEC?
(apologies, this is probably in the wrong section)
Cheers!
