Replacement seats
rdodger - 6/10/14 at 03:36 PM

I am thinking I may replace my current seats. I would go for Tillett R500 but the budget is unlikely to stretch to them.

I am looking at Triton or JK Composites.

The Triton ones in particular look very much like the Tillett.

Any advice experience on either?

Cheers

I have a triton ( looks like one with the CF exposed head piece) and I pit my foot through the bottom of it. I was climbing in and out of the car and it split where the groin strap goes.

I have repaired it and it is now fine.

Other than that, its a nice comfy seat, well made with good fixing support.

I can only comment on the JK composite seats... I had cobra before and replaced with JK composites....

Great to deal with...
Very good value...
Excellent Quality....
Really comfy ... (I have the pads on mine)

I waited for a second hand pair of tilletts, as far as I've seen there leagues above any of the cheaper seat brands

What have you got now? Thought they were GRP shells.

I do have GRP seats. They are low sided without harness slots on the side. They don't support under my thigh as much as I would like and am not sure I want to recline them any more.

I will have a play over the winter before I buy any more. Unless anyone has some Tilletts going cheap?
