interior idea? thoughts please
jimmyjonga - 2/3/05 at 03:14 PM

hello there

deciding on how to trim my interior, but what do you think about using some clear plastic type material for the transmission tunnel cover? (eg polycarbonate etc)could be good to see the 'workings' of the car.

i realise that some protection is needed against a wayward propshaft but will 2mm ali sheet protect you anyway?

Hi james good idea but i think that one drop of rain or dampness would turn the clear perspex to mud and be hard to clean
Just my input

My tunnel area wont look good enough long term to be on show. I have been told that a lot of debris gets thrown into this area in use, i guess it could be sealed off though.

If you can make it look good you could fit some neons in there and show it off hot-rod stylee. Chromed prop etc. Personally i prefer more go than show.

If you keep to clean dry roads and clean the inside of the tunnel after every use it could look good, but let it get too dirty and it would look dreadful.

That is unless mud is you thing. Mmmm that loverly deep brown colour.
