I'm looking for advice from anyone who has passed SVA with these or similar seats fitted.

I have a set fitted to my Indy, dead comfy and easy to fit. But Mark is away on his hols at the minute and Harrogate is going to be my last chance to buy trim etc (because my SVA is 07.30am on Monday morning).

Question is, does the edge of the seat constitute an edge in terms of radius, either internal or external?

I have put u-section trim around the holes for the seatbelts, so no chaffing there.

Is the edge of the seat in the exempt zone (i.e. its not 150mm forward of the point where the seat back meets the cushion)?

Also is the bit where your shoulder goes actually outside the car?

Not sure, but I'd buy some trim to put all the way round "just in case" and then you can't go wrong.

I have just passed SVA and put herringbone edging round the whole seat edge, better to be safe than sorry, got mine from car builder solutions and MAC1.

Basically ANY chance of a sharp edge in the cockpit should be covered.

just to interject, a bit late but i just got back from holiday,

m&m trim supplies(i think that's what they're called, it's the bloke who has his picture on the business card) were cheapest at stoneleigh, and the stuff he sells is really flexible, compared to some others i've seen.

i paid £22.50 for 15m. that covered both MK seats all the way round, 2 dax cycle wings, and a few other bits, like the steering column support brackets. i have surprisingly little left, probably about 2m, so don't underestimate how much you need.
