Firstly a big welcome Stef.
At the shows you will find a huge selection of carpet material. There are loads to choose from. I think Woollies also do it mail order. Personally i
opted for the stripped out look and fitted a chequerplate ali floor to mine. I think that looks great and will not be prone to mould / water damage if
i get caught out in the rain (or if daughter soaks the interior when she helps me wash the car!).
you can also buy plastic sheeting that looks like chequer plate.
Where can you get the chequer plate that is made of plastic?
Most Chav type car shops have it. Motorworld, Halfrauds etc.
You can get checkerplate lookin lino from carpet shops.
This might sound a little cheapy but for a boat I got some cheap 1.99 per square meter carpet from carpet right. It was foam backed but I just scraped all the foam off and stuck it down.
B&Q do chequer plate look a like gear in a roll

Topps Tiles were selling chequer-plate floor tiles don't know if they were steel or Ali.
