I can't remmebr now what was the final decision if an odometer is required for MOT/SVA .... but is there any requirement for the number of digits?

with my proposed 7 segment display, the electronics is simple with 4 digits meaning it will show 0-9,999; I can wire up the 5 digit to be 0. I guess that is not gonna casue any issues.
