Does anyone here know what the carcass of a Cobra type bucket seat looks like? I was thinking of possibly buying a pair from ebay and if they were to
wide cutting a vertically section out of the seat and then rejoining. The seats below although tatty look to have a decent carcass? what your
thoughts?

I originally had a pair of slightly different Cobras in my car - see pics on website - they are very comfortable, but a little bulky. I had to do some minor mods for SVA & can confirm they are definitely steel framed, from IIRC 13mm & 19mm sq tube, so could be cut down as you suggest. I later replaced the front one with some hand formed & bent ali sheet, very light & very cheap!
Sorry guys, I'm fairly new to all this what's kirkham stylee? I guess I'll have to do a search through the forum - just being lazy again!!!
