I looked at these a while back - very bling Probably a post SVA mod though.

Yeah, seem very cheap compared to rallynuts and demon tweeks so a little concerned about there quality, but maybe worth the chance at that price

Yup- I agree re concern re price. Steering is one component I don't take short cuts on.... If that thing fails..............
(says the man whose wheel recently fell off due to inadequate nut torque...)...

You could always install a QD boss - that will give you about 50mm and you can whip your wheel off as a bonus.

to make it even lower cost, you could try loosening up the steering column where the triangular bush thingy is clamped, pulling it up on the spring and tightening up again. I did that and moved it about an inch

Thanks humbug but i done that when i made the car and i don't think i can let it out anymore

Looks like its adjustable on a thread locked by a large lock ring. How embarrasing if that became a bit loose

I thought that as well, but I suspect there is a also a grub screw that locks into one of the slots in the center part.

It would always be in the back of my mind though - makes you shudder to think, gritted teeth and opposite lock.....
