Do you recognise these seats?
Matty Dog - 16/9/07 at 11:35 PM

I came across this picture somewhere on the net, and I'd like to know what the seats are, as they look about fo my car (I'm after non-headrest seats that are adjustable fore and aft). Does any one recognise them?

I've tried an early Triumph Spitfire seat, but that is too wide in the seat-back. I'm considering Fiat 850 Sport seats too. Rescued attachment Seven seats.jpg

the car is rob lanes car, he's on www.robs7.com.

He occasionally posts on here (very rarely). I'm guessing he made the seats himself but could be (as usual) completely wrong.

Thanks for that. I had a look at his site, and it says the seats are "Custom fibreglass race bucket seats from MK Engineering", so that will be my next point of call.

I don't think they are MK seats in the photo. Best contact Rob first? I guess he has changed them.. My solution was a set of early Catervan seats secondhand, very comfy, also have no head rest, are very narrow and have seat runners...

I also very much doubt that they're the GF ones. They look way too padded and upholstered...

Always did like his motor though- it inspired me a bit when I was building mine.... Okay, fair enough, I nicked the colour scheme

A mate of mine has something similar in his ST. There was a pic of hos in the old website but ive checked again and its all different now.

I bet ST would be able to say if they can supply the shorter seats. I seem to recall that some people have got hold of std shell seats and cut the tops off before as well but ive no idea how good they look.

They look a bit like decent versions of "cubs" or "baby cubs".

Pretty sure they didn't used to thave headrest but Midland Wheel supplies now sell them with headrests here;

Cobra do something similar I think as well.
