anyone using ETB mechanical speedo?

just wondering if anyone is using an ETM mechanical speedo?



would I be bale to find out the cable drive ration in gearbox? 4 speed box, mk2 escort/carpi?

Have you looked on ETB`s website? Check out www.etbinstruments.com Go to the Technical help menu, then select Gauges FAQ. Item no.5 tells you all about performing a `cardboard circle test`. Basically you turn one of your back wheels around 100 revolutions whilst an assistant counts the number of times your speedo cable rotates. Pass the results together with tyre size to ETB and they can calibrate your speedo accordingly. They did it for me and were spot on. The website explains this easy procedure fully. You won`t need to know your gearbox ratios. This test will solve your problem. HTH

thanks but if I new my ratio, a wouldn't have to do the meesing around counting a disc going round.
