Cheap seats?
MK7 - 15/10/03 at 07:45 PM

How does £320 for a pair of new Cobra Roadster 7's with harness holes sound?

If there's a few of us I wouldn't mind betting I gould get that down a tad.

sounds good to me.

i'm in

Delivery has been advised as £35 on top of the price of seats, everyone still in?

The supplier is in Staffordshire, close enough for me to drive to and save a few bob.

I'm on market for a set of these... Count me in if you get a discount.

Mk-Ninja - 16/10/03 at 07:54 AM

Yes definitly.

I'm may be closer than you so Ill drive down as well and save the £35.

I think the last seats purchased on a bulk buy earlier in the year were about £300, It would be nice to get them for something like that.

Just to keep you in the loop.

I'll be receiving a price list in tomorrow's (Friday) post direct from Cobra. Initial indications are that we can get £300 Inc VAT for a pair of seats with harness holes.

So far I have the following interested parties

MK-Ninja
Greggors 84
Staple Balls
Hornet
and Me

Any one else interersted

Who wants sub frames? and if so how many. I'm getting 1 for the driver's side.

Russell

greggors84 - 16/10/03 at 09:12 PM

I take it, if you dont have the subframe the seat just bolts to the floor. If so, then i will just have one for the drivers side.

P.S. What material is it for £300?

I think they are vinyl at this price.

If it's anything other than vinyl then I'll post this information when I get the catalogue and price list.

I know that Leather is an option, as is Nylon, what material are you interested in?

RichyMkIndy - 17/10/03 at 11:47 AM

Runners are £15 for a set , a set fits one seat. Please let me know who wants what.

Leadtime is around 2 weeks, please drop me an email to proceed.

Russell

greggors84 - 18/10/03 at 09:53 PM

I take it, if you only want one runner for the drivers seat, you will need a frame to bolt down the other one. Or does that come with the seat?

MK9R - 19/10/03 at 12:29 AM

MK7,

My ali seats are ready now if you are still interested. See thread

MK7 - 19/10/03 at 08:47 PM

Greggors,

The standard seat (without runners) bolts directly to the floor so, according to Cobra nothing else is required. The runner allows the seat to move forward and backward.

MK9R,

Having weighed up the various options I decided to go for the slightly more expensive Cobra seats. I think the benefit
of the ali seats will be weight, the Cobra seats on the other hand look to be quite comfortable.

I have to say, I like the looks of the ali seats but... as I said, having weighed the options it's Cobra for me, I think these look quote good too.
