Cobra Roadster 7's

Hello all.
Have any of you had a Cobra roadster 7 seat brake on you?

One of mine has ( between the seat and back) and I've heard of another.

How easy will it be to remove the vinyl covering to get the brake repaired?

Any advise greatly received.

I had one go after about 18 months. They have a weak spot and that is why they are only surposed to be fitted to "7" style cars, if you had a big shunt in another design of car the chances of the back breaking are high. I suggested to them that they were not fit for purpose and while they would not admit it they did replace mine!

I think they are designed to have the back supported by the rear panel. they are not strong enough to be free standing, I reckon.

That's how I understood it.

Only problem is for people with short legs, they have no option to have to back of the seat resting on the bulkhead, as you wouldnt reach the pedals otherwise

Mine are fitted directly to the floor with an inch clearance behind seat and bulkhead.

Still on build up, but have coped so far with 7/8 years of being installed and removed or carried up and down into the loft.
