How have people secured their top cover?

Im would like mine padded, but don't want to have screws exposed at time of SVA.

Also thinking of some kind of studs on the cover that fit into lugs in the tunnel then a nut on that from under the car.

I used concealed fixings. Top cover in three pieces. The rear of the rearmost cover has a joggled bracket screwed to the underside, and this hooks under a plate at the rear of the tunnel. The front is screwed down and the middle section hooks under this covering those screws. The front of this is again screwed down and the front section hooks under this covering those screws. Finally the front of the front section is screwed down. These screws are under the dash so cannot be seen.

I must say that is a very neat and tidy set up.
Could I please ask.
Where did you get you're seats from?
Also is that a standard sierra dash?
If so how did you get the speedo onto the right hand side.

That's an amazingly tidy job, I love it What is the top panel covered in, is it painted/powdercoated or is it vinyl?

Seats are Intatrim Voyager purchased direct from Intatrim.
The instruments are from the Mk2 Escort donor. I've since upgraded them to a set from a Mk2 RS2000, so it now looks like this:

Thanks for your comments. The tunnel top is made from MDF with D shaped beading each side. It is all then covered with vinyl. There is no padding.
The dash in the first picture is made using similar materials. The dash in the second picture is almost identical, but is made from aluminium, vinyl covered.

Thats the ideal way i would like my top Trans Cover to look like.

Good idea how to secure it too.

Just seen a picture of a interior, that has their tunnel covered in a one piece cover, that goes over the centre and down both sides, like a saddle as its curved at the top.

Much the same. Fixing thru the handbrake and gear lever surrounds.
