I am looking into re-trimming my classic TVR...Would love an all tan leather interior, but that is going to cost me more than the car is worth!
So, in this day and age, are there any synthetic (Cheaper) materials that look and feel very similar to leather?
The original 1970s plastic vinyl would do, but its a bit minging!

how much do you need? I have a few metres of dark brown and copper vinyls, they have a kind of metalic sheen. Cost a lot of cash new but I have had it
laying around for a while. I can send a cutting if interested.

How about Alcantara, the man made suede like stuff, My Lexus seats are faced with it, and are very comfy & non sweaty, no sideways sliding
either.

Parents had some seats re-trimmed, leather was not much more than using cheaper alternatives..
Shop around you might be surprised..

i think the shiny/reflective PVC would look perfectly in place in a classic TVR![]()
Geez, those 'cheap' leather prices are a ripoff.
I'm bringing in 'roo hides, the same stuff that racing bike leathers are made from, for less than £40/sq. m. This is the toughest, lightest
and thinnest leather you can get.
Many colours available at the factory in Aus.
Cheers,
Syd.
good excuse for a holiday,
mate of mine went back on holiday to egypt with the seat covers of his custom celica in a suit case and had them remade in camel skin coloured to his
requirements for a fraction of the cost of over here,
