Come on Fred... everyone on this site has probably drooled at Steve Tillet's products at some time or another in the last decade!

So much so, that they can no longer be classed as (seat) porn!

Nice to look at, but no longer exciting!

Sorry Scootz, out here in the colonies we can be a bit out of touch

Cheers

Only expensive if buy expensive seats...

Hi i have just removed one of those Tillet seats from the race car i am to be racing next year due to the amount of flex it posses and the fact that it is some what heavy.

As for the Kirky seats they really are a torture device. Can you imagine being seated in one of those when you have an accident and the aluminium side wings have wrapped themselves around you. Which then stops and hinders the medical team from being able to treat you and remove you from the car.

Ill take a body hugging made to measure fully supporting light weight foam in a bag seat every time especially at £60

Cheers Matt

Same goes for carbon fibre... If it rips formula farce tyres to shreds what will it do to you if sat in the stuff in the event of a smack!..makes me shudder thinking about it

Bag seats are ok for racing but in a road car will be like buying an expensive suit and wearing wellies...

procomp - 22/10/08 at 08:11 AM

Hi.

But thats the point a well designed carbon fibre seat will not come apart with a smack like the cheap fibreglass items.

As for bag seats. It's true to say that in race cars most do not spend much time making them look pretty. But when they have been flocked Etc they look the muts nuts in a road car. They look like they are meant to be there as they are a perfect fit to the car rather than bodged bracketry hanging of the back of the fibreglass seats to try and gain some support from them.

Cheers Matt
