I met a chap who has a MR2 turbo engine, turbo and gearbox for sale. It is still in the back of a cut up MR2. Apparently the head gasket has gone south but he reckons the rest is probably OK. He only wants £50 for the whole lot which it is probably worth for weigh in. I have no more space and don't need it so if any one is interested, PM me and I'll send you his no.

How sure is he that it's just the head gasket? Depending on which engine it is and its symptoms it could be ringlands gone. But even paying £70 for a pallet this is a reasonable investment.

a good used block from fensport is well over £500 so £50 for the engine and box is a great deal even if you have to spend sone money getting it working again!

Fensport are not the cheapest source of parts. To say the least.
It's not unusual to pick up a whole MR2 turbo with a blown headgasket for <500 quid, but it's still a good buy!
