Recomend me some bonnet catches please
tony.g - 28/5/11 at 03:46 PM

I have a Stuart Taylor Locoblade which I use for trackdays,at the moment it has 4 Dzus style fasteners holding the bonnet on, which need to be opened with a screwdriver or coin, like these.
2 Pairs Dzus 1/4 turn quick release flush fastener 008 | eBay UK
If i had a fire the car would be a pile of ashes before i could get the bonnet off.

What do you people recomend?

not cheap, but very positive, highly adjustable and can be release very quickly should the need arise.

The spring ones are very easy to install, and hold very very well. The can't rattle loose as my old ones did. Can't think of the name of them right now, but I believe they are called "boot catches". Here we go:

I've just ordered 2 pairs of springs.
Lets keep my fingers crossed they work ok.
