Brilliant bit of telly....Guy Martin chatting up Laura Trott was great fun to watch.

Just finished... Guy is a marmite character for me - sometimes I think he's a star, and at other time I think he's a pillock.

Tonight - he's got all of my respect! What he did was scary, dangerous and an amazing feat for someone who was only a recreational cyclist prior to the start of training. What a champion...

What an amazing feat...

No way I'd try following a truck can doing 100mph on a push bike.

Balls of steel!

Guy is a marmite character for me - sometimes

funny !! I thought that earlier,

I really like him, he has a likeable quality, but also, I can see why people dislike him

He did well, on sand though !!

Best Christmas tv entertainment, love his look at life even though ther must be other professional cyclist that could have done it if they had same fearless approach

coozer - 29/12/13 at 10:24 PM

HEY! Guy Martin is a top bloke, dont go dissing him, you get slagged off for dissing people your not keen on!

No Coozer, you get slagged off for acting like/being a twat.

Great program - I can't wait to see the next episode. I really like his laid back approach to life, and of course his sideburns!

Just a heads-up - if you missed this the first time around, it's on again Saturday 4th Jan at 7:00pm, Channel 4.

Well worth a look...

Surely the sand must have caused a fair bit of drag on the bike wheels? I wonder how fast he could have gone had they found a strip of tarmac long enough.
