Seat runners - not working

I have adjustable seats on the MK, but the passenger one will not stay forward, even if locked in place.

Any pressure on it, and it slides back to the full back position - which is a royal pain if the passengers are small.

before I take the seats out, and the harnesses etc, to fettle, does anyone have any ideas, or simple things to check first.

I manged to get look under the seat yesterday, and the locking leaver appears to swing back into the locking groove, under the pressure of the return spring but it will not hold the seat in one place under pressure.

Any easy checks/fixes before I resort to ripping the seats out.

cheers
Craig

sound to me the pin that should go into the locking slot has gone.

I could be ,iles wide of the mark but if the lever is going across its the only thing i can think. Its not locking therefore part of the locking mech has failed

Vindi, I will try and get some pictures tonight.

If the pin has gone, do I need a whole new system? (I do not have access to a welder).

cheers
Craig
