Clip in harnesses

Now as far as I understand Clip in harnesses are ok for Iva, I plan on wirelocking the clips when fitted to prevent them coming off to satisfy mr IVA man.

However Do I need to cover the whole clip assy with a triangle cover from a scrappies? or will edge trim around the edges suffice?

Cheers
Steve

are you planning on using eye bolts to fasten the upper harness mounts? dont think they will pass unless they have strength markings on them. or at least thats what i was told at my iva a few weeks ago! luckily i swapped mine at mnr for some that just bolt on with a spacer!

Interesting point, The eye bolts I was looking at were described as FIA approved which I thought would be enough now that FIA approved harnesses are satisfactory. Would a datasheet as evidence satisfy IVA then?

I haven’t had my test yet but my understanding is if they are 88 marked they are OK. You do have to sort out the edges etc though.
