Seats for +4" Chassis
Any suggestions for a decent seat that would fit a +4" chassis nicely and suitable for a harness? Preferably not a bucket seat as I don't
find them overly comfy due to my err..larger frame (fat bastard), and preferably not in the house re-mortage cost bracket

You can make a bucket seat from Aluminium exactly to your size which will be comfortable.
If you need help with the pattern give me a U2U and i'll see what can be done.
If you go for uncle Ron's bench type seat....plenty of room and unbeatable simplicity

Thank Cita, I think you posted a dwg file a while back of a seat design?
In all honesty, I'd rather buy something I can bolt in, as I really want a chance of getting it running next year!

I have the same problem, being a Bat Fastard! I have found that Cobra Daytona seats are very comfortable. With lumbar support and adjustable rake on
the back. They should fit my Viento, but dont know about the Locost.
There is a nice chap on the list who could supply at a good price if you ask him. (Cashy).

I used Intatrim Magellans - reasonably priced and a bit wider than the usual Cobra type stuff.

I seem to remember that someone suggested using seats from a Saab as they are narrower than most.
Anyone tried them?
