Rear seat anchors

Gents
I'm after a bit of help with the rear harness anchor points. I've just been reading through the IVA manual and I would like to clear something up. Is the rear mounts classed as exterior projections or interior. If it is more than 250mm from point R (being the base of your seat) it is classed as exterior. So if it is classed as Exterior I only need to have the edges of the anchor point on he harness blunted if less than 5mm thick meaning I don't need to put some padding on for IVA only put a nut cap on. Or what have you guys done in this area to pass IVA?

I hope you under stand what I'm trying to say because I don't.

cheers

I don't have an IVA manual to hand (first time for everything!), but I seem to remember the 'interior' stops at the back of the seat, it's not just a distance from the base.

I'm almost certain I've never seen padded seatbelt anchors, only capped.

They're exterior. Plenty of people have failed on them in the past. Either edge trim or covers knicked from tin-tops in the scrap yard are the usual way.
