iPhone dash mount for Sat Nav/Speedo
Anyone use their phone for sat nav or even GPS speedo in their car?
Wondered if anyone had any 'elegant' solutions for mounting a phone onto the flat dash behind the wheel.
Not sure on the legality either to be honest. I'm assuming as long as it's not touched whilst driving it should be OK ... I'll check
with a friend who works for the boys in blue first.
Thanks.

As it happens, I am working on this at the moment but using an Old Google Nexus 7 so a 7inch screen.
You can use Google maps for the sat nav and download the maps for offline use, Google play music for music etc but also have the torque app installed
and connected to my OBDII adapter.
I cut out a housing made of MDF and covered it with Carbon wrap and it is mounted on the dash panel. Powers up when power switched on and goes off
when power disconnect using an app to control it plus other tasks.

Interesting question - not one I can answer regards mounting a phone on a flat dashboard.
I use Co-Pilot sat-nav on my phone in a tin top, but the £5 mount (from ebay) is a suction one that attaches to the inside of the windscreen.

That's the first time I've seen a fury fitted with a pair of curtains.
Why do they call Port Harcourt "The Garden City"?...... Becauase they can't spell Stramash.

MDF is much cheaper. I might look at doing something like that and get it 3D printed but the MDF mount for now is fine for testing out the
functionality of the Nexus 7.
