mascing tape more fun cause you can draw on it while thinking of ideas. so its both practical and helps pass time

I made some fake dials out of paper using a drawing package. These were then stuck on a hardboard dash using some art shop low-stick glue (similar to the old "Cow Gum" ). These could be pulled off, stuck on elsewhere, and generally moved around until I was happy.
The advantage was that at the end I knew that I could see all the dials when my hands were on the wheel, could reach all the controls, etc.
You don't need a drawing package of course - just cut out a few circles of paper or thin card and use those.

I "photocopied" my dials on my PC scanner, then printed them out so I will have exactly what they should look like once I get round to doing the dash

Warning lights, oil pressure gauge and temp gauge right in front of me. The rest arranged in centre of dash.

I cut circles out of card the same size as the gauges and used blu tac to try different positions on the dash until I found something I liked.

Im really confused wit my dash, cause i've got R1 clocks that stick out quite a lot, how will i be able to make it SVA friendly??
