Glove box (no, really!)
Just went over to see my friendly local mechanic to liberate a few potentially useful items from the Metro before it goes to the Longbridge factory in
the sky.
1 Rover badge (might be rare one day!)
1 ECU
and 1 glove box! I took the whole thing out ad thought it might make a useful storage box. Tried it under the dash in the conventional position but a)
it looks crap and b) takes up too much room.
so... how about upright behind the passenger seat? The ST is fairly long in the cockpit and I will just have to take only shortarse passengers, but it
could be a good place to keep loose items in ()and reachable from the driver's seat. Not lockable, but then not much is on a Locost!
Thoughts?

Damn good idea. I'm now looking at my Metro glovebox with an evil eye, thinking after the RH is on the road I could make up a blanking plate to
replace it before I sell it. Mmmmmm....

Sorry - I got the runners earlier and reduced the width so I can fit them after SVA. I want to fit them on both seats, so none spare.

If put on a servier angle grinder diet sierra seat runners don't come to big at all. Its just the mounting brakets that make them big. (runners
from a 92 1.8 sierra at least)

I thought something like this: bolt it down firmly to the scuttle top, then use velcro on the bottom of the cups

Cup holders are an excellent idea. There are some really neat ones in my VW Passat. The unit is about 7" wide by 1/2" tall in the dash.
Push it and the cup holders pop out.
I'm currently building an aeroplane, and have bought a set of these cup holders for that. I'm pretty sure a set is going to find its way
into the Locost as well...

You will need to fasten the drink (the liquid I mean) somehow to the cup itself, and you can't use velcro or tie wraps for that.

You could install air con glove box from an omega etc and serve the drink frozen in the cup negating the need to "fix the liquid to the
cup"
