Steering wheel spokes, cover needed?
Got my steering wheel from a scrappy for a few quid complete with boss that happens to fit my column!
Bargain!, I thought.
However, i am now concerned that the wheel will not pass SVA due to the holes in the spokes or the design of the spokes.
Any thoughts?
I seem to remeber it being possible to buy pads that cover the spoked portion of steering wheels in order to get around this problem, is this the
case?
I believe my wheel is a Mountney Classic

You will need some sort of crash pad which will wrap around the edges of spokes.

Europa sell an sva pad for Mountney wheels but they are three spoke jobbies. You might be able to make something similar from foam & vinyl - I am
looking into this at the moment as I have a 'modern' style which will need a pad too.

Hi,
I have the exact same wheel and would love to be able to use it for SVA. I thought about tidying up the edges with a dremmel to give them all a nice
SVA compliant radii but I don't know if this would be enough to pass SVA or not.
I'll probably just end up using the Sierra wheel but it looks so cr&p and will not leave much room for my legs.
Maybe making a custom crash pad would be an option.

Don't think so, they don't like holes in the spokes either.
