Speedo recalibration
Hi, Guys. Anyone recommend who can recalibrate my mechanical Veglia speedo from the Lancia Beta donor from 14" wheels down to 13"? Only
reply I've had so far reckon it needs an external reduction box at c£80 but that seems excessive. Cheers, Pewe.

Hope it helps

When thinking outside the box doesn't work any more, it's time to build a new box

Speedy cables M8.
Years ago they calibrated my chronometric speedometer off a Triumph motorcycle that I fitted into my Rally Escort.

Guys , thanks for the input - never ceases to amaze me the wealth of talent, knowledge and lateral thinking we have on here.
Looks as if the circumf. will be about 5% difference new to old so shouldn't be a prob. but only a soggy piece of string this weekend will
confirm. Cheers, Pewe

cheapest way is to mentally calculated your real speed from that shown on the speedo; if you faculties cannot cope, then makr the new speeds n the
dial.
If it is going through SVa, those methods may not be acceptable.
There are at least 2 companies - I have details somewhere that will remagnetise the internals pus fit new gears so the miles counters are correct
too.
there is another way, whcih as it happens is what I am working atthe moment and that is to drive the speedo with an electric motor... time will tell
if that is viable.

02GF74, as a cyclists why can't we use a push-bike one with a pilot light for night time use and then dump it after SVA? Could then use the
cadence function to establish how fast the gearchanges are! Cheers, Pewe

Speedograph Richfield in Arnold, Nottingham
Do reconditioning and rebuilding of speedos, and adjusting for tyre changes.
Will also reset to zero for you if you really want them to
Cheers
