this is driving me nuts. how do you shrink a picture for the avtar. i know it has been mentioned b4 but it beats me .. where is a child when you need one

open it in MS paint and then
image menu
stretch/skew
50% etc.
then save the image.

Try downloading Irfanview photo image software. I use it [when not loading up Adobe Photoshop CS] when for viewing any image,movie,digital music etc It does nearly everything for such a small program.

By the looks of things; images in your photo gallery could be made smaller too - try 800 x 600 pixels. Is that your fury? V.nice!

you can download a product from microsofts web site (can't remember the name of it before you ask)

It will allow you to resize by right clicking. It suggests standard sizes to begin with but on the advanced tab you can specify any size.

Use Jasc Paint Shop or something similar and resize it to make it around 120~150 pixels wide. Anything your posting can go up to 750 pixels wide, for my monitor anyway!
