Digital dash into V6
I have a Vapor digital dash unit . Very nice etc but the problem I have is with the tacho - the unit was designed for 2 stroke or 4-pot engines.
Anyone have any suggestions as to how it can be adapted to read the pulses from the coil on a V6 (presumably 3 pulses per engine rev as opposed to the
normal 2 pulses?)

Try wrapping the tacho lead around the outside of one of your HT leads, it might work from the RF?
Or give Vapor a email and ask if they do an firmware update. The keep adding options all the time.

Which Vapor unit is it?
I have a Vapor2 unit and in the configure menu there is a multiplier that you change for 2 - 12 cylinder engines. I have a V8 and just had to alter
the value in this section to get it to work.

thanks paul, that's interesting - at least it means that there is a way of doing what I want.
Mine just says "Vapor" so I'm guessing it's a Mk I
