Worth bothering with seat runners?
I'm wondering if it's worth bothering with adjustable seat runners?
I've bought a pair but due to my stupidly impractical seat choice (Cobra Clubman) they're proving really difficult to fit and even if they
do fit it's gonna be pretty hard to actually adjust the seat!
I'm pretty sure now the passenger won't get one. This just leaves whether anyone else is gonna drive the car who can't just have a
cushion behind their back! 
Any opinions?

im not gonna bother on mine...
surely u can get it lower anyway without runners?
Plus i think it looks silly when the seats are forward and theres a random gap behind the seat.
But then again what do i know

I'm glad I fitted mine on runners.
I sit diffently depending on whether on a long journey or a quick thrash, and wether in a tee shirt or a full winter gear, it means someone else
could drive , if you let them and it meand that you can store and lock tools and stuffstuff behinfd the seat

Same here. They were a real pig to fit and make work well but now its done it makes so much difference.

wot they said ^^^ - with thick winter clothing on you might want a different position, or relaxed vs track driving.

Just bolted mine in position,less movement in the seat,and it has to be in its furthest back position for me to be comfortable anyway.

I am glad I fitted mine... I agree with the extra room for heavy cloathing etc, also in mine it means I can move the seat forward to store stuff
behind it (then put it back afterwards). Stuff that would be impossible to get hold of again if the seat didn;t move!

i use my runners to get the harness tight tight.
set the seat back, do up the belts then move the seat forward. if the adjusters on the belt worked the other way, it'd be a doddle........but
they don't. makes it much easier when you have a coat on.

Glad I fitted runners for the reasons already mentioned and also because I can slide the seat back if I need to get at the pedals etc

Fitted them first time round...then took the driver seat one out to get lower and I was not moving the seat...passenger one let on runners so I can
store stuff behind and slide back.

Never saw the need for runners;
1. ME and only ME was ever gonna drive her
2. Being a tall person, I needed all the room under the steering wheel for my legs!
