digital dashes

Has anyone fitted or know anything about either of these digital dashes - the Vapour or the Acewell ACE-3150. Are either any good? I think they are both SVA ok but would appreciate any advice on either inc any fitting issues etc.

I want to be confident I can get it fitted and working before shelling out the dosh!

Cheers

I have a vapor unit fitted with the additional dash suround for the warning lights and it works a treat.

Its compact in size so can be fitted behind the steering wheel and it still remains clearly visable.

Cheers guys. How easy are they to wire in and set up? I have a mental block about setting up the speedo part of it. Is it straight forward? Where do you attach the sensors etc?

we used the trailtech vapor and mounted the magnet to the prop and the censor on a bracket in the tunnel ok upto 20mph then went off. trailtech sed it was cos the magnet was spinning to fast so we mounted the mag on back of a wheelstud and the censor through the backplate now it works fine.
the easiest way we found to calibrate it was to have somone follow in a tintop then alter the tyre dimentions upwards in 50mm steps untill it was set

So not beyond the wit of man then? I guess calibrating any speedo is going to be much the same?

How about the rest of the functionality? Is the speedo the only troublesome bit?

Cheers

the water temp sender cable is quite short so we had to run a longer water hose along the bulkhead apart from that it was simple plug and play ,there's a vid of ours in the dash pics section page 8
Cheers
