IVA - Unused switches

I know that all switches must have correct labeling on them but what about labelled switches that have no use?

I have a horn switch on the steering wheel that i am not using (using switch on dash) but the horn symbols are still on there.

Well if no-one has past S/IVA with switches that dont do anything, i should probably cover the horn symbol

How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

I think that would be a sensible precaution, it would probably be better to sand off the symbol with fine wet and dry rather than sticking a bit of tape over.
