We too have recently fitted one from MAC 1. However, given that we have GRP seats which sit low down in the car, we had to chop a couple of inches off the top so we could see over it.

I went for the light tint after J30FOS said that the darker tint was to dark to use with sunglasses on. There is also the option of a clear one.

MAD4X4 has the speedo cable reached you yet?

Do these screens make a difference to the driving experience? i.e are they worth the investment?

7 out of 10 people suffer with hemorrhoids. Does that mean the other 3 enjoy them?

IMHO, No... they don't really make that much difference. However, they do make a slight difference to the flow of air over the scuttle and personally I think it improves the aesthetics of the car. It certainly looks better now its been chopped down by a few inches. We have the dark smoked screen and for £30, yes I think its worth the investment. (£10 for function + £20 for looks)

Thats because you chopped it down. Today was the third time I've been from Coventry up to MAC1, each time its been p*ssing it down with rain. This time I was worried because I accidentally leaned on the exhaust last week and melted my jacket, nice big hole . 1 and a half hours later at MAC1 in pouring rain, 1 dry right elbow!

Actually I just thought about it, if you chop your elbow down by a couple of inches, that should keep it dry

Chipie

You plonker - the wetness was caused by the water flicking up from the front tyre The screen kept much of the water off! despite choppin git down!

Did you get everything sorted @ Mac1?

I know, was a little light humour after a long day. Yep got everything sorted that week. Have been using it every day this week. Nearly killed myself this week doing an impression of a snake at 70+ MPH (heavy foot racing Westies). Went back up to get the quick rack fitted and sump gasket changed.

Unfortunately we discovered the bolts I put in to hold alternator in place were no longer there, causing the fan belt to move/stretch. Therefore the battery wasn't recharging. Also a few other problems usual things that go wrong when you use it as an everyday car. Left it there cos they know what they are doing.

All I can say is thanks a lot to the boys at MAC1. Kept them there till gone 7pm. Hopefully they didn't get into trouble from their better halves.

Mark - Thanks for the lift to the train station, can you pick me up from Cov when you've finished it?
