How to label dash switches
What do you guys use for labeling switches on your dash? My dash is carbon, and it's a sort of retro-60's Mini-Cooper oddball thing, so
something appropriate to that era would be nice, but I'll listen to any suggestions. Something that looks nice, is easy to read, and
won't fade or fall off.

I've had success with engraved and printed aluminium.
For most of my race cars, I make the dashes out of aluminium and have them anodized matt black. I then take them to a professional engraver who
engraves the anotation into the aluminium which stands out against the black surround.
Printed foil stickers are customizable and look neat and professional.
If your Mini was a Locost, you would have to use Dymo Tape.

Autolec do a sticker sheet with pre-printed legends white on black, for switches as well as competition requirements. Only costs about £2 from DT or
Merlin at one of the shows

Along the lines of what rorty said ( I also sent you an email, but figure I'll share for the betterment (is that a word) of the group), I am
using small strips of aluminum. I bought a set of lettered dies that I will be using to imprint the words for my switches on. To imprint on the
aluminum I drilled a hole in a 2"x1" strip of wood just big enough for the punch to fit in, and kept knocking the letters into it to for
the labels. the wood is used because I found that just by striking the impression also bends the aluminum. Then I will clean up the label with a file
and pop rivet it on the dash.
