Best Carbon style Dash
Hi,
I brought a dashboared blank from ebay that was "carbon" but turns out its plastic , and thin at that too, and more flexible than a master
card.
Not sure on the carbon mods one ( and by the way, the bird on their website is a friend of mine! ) and cant find the one on the MNR website..
anyone got any good links?

I've just measured the Carbonmods one as there's one here in the kitchen next to me as it happens!
It's 5mm, and that uses a foam core that they have cut specially for them, making it very rigid but still surprisingly light!
Once again, I don't get anything from them, just an incredibly (multiple) satisfied customer!

5mm thick and very rigid! (oo er)
If you give them a ring they will explain the manufacture to you, but basically it's the same as all processes where two stiff sheets of
anything are bonded together with a foam/sponge/etc core - ie, very light and very strong!

MAC#1 one is nice as well.
As is the Fluke one - but that is very thin, but very nice.

how sturdy is the mac31 dashboard?
I want to use the whole Sierra column surround, so i plan on cutting the dash to accommodate that - the current plastic dash has gone really flimsy
now , so im looking for a new dash.

The mac1 dash does fit the Indy, see above picture of "mad gaz's" Indy, not that there's anything wrong with the MK
dash.
