DON'T TOW IT
Most of the advice you have been given in good but try this trick before lifting the head and removing the sump.
With a suitable freeing agent down the bore try rock the the crank back and forth, don't use massive force it just keep rocking it.

If you take the head off and find only two piston at mid point of the stroke there is something very wrong wrong with you engine!!!!
If pistons 1 &4 are at TDC then 2 &3 are at BDC and vice versa. Obviously this means that they are all in line at the mid point of the
stroke. 1 & 4 will both be going up and 2 & 4 will both be going down or vice versa. Very basic engine theory.
