A few years ago good friend (who we will call Mr X authough his real name is Laurie) used to visit my workshop on a regular basis to use the hoist to
change the oil in his MG C. Every time he managed to spill at least half the old oil on the floor under the hoist. This became fodder for some real
p**s taking. One day, all pleased with himself, he called us over to inspect the floor, "Look no oil". While we were all standing there
ammazed he was tipping the old oil into the drum not noticing it running from the underside of the drain bowl all over his new trainers and of course
the floor.
More recently I was helping No 1 son, "make sure you don't short that spanner onto your spots" I said. Next thing I have to help and
manage to connect the main battery lead to the spot lamp, unfortunately the circuit was made using my bracelet which instantly got red hot and left me
with burns around half my wrist. Tim was wetting himself as I tried to get the still very hot bracelet off.

the sump to raise it and reposistion the stands.all was well untill i spotted the jack turning a funny shade of gloss black, need i say anymore-well
yes i punctured the alluminium sump.some choice words and a few hurles spanners later i set to removing the sump, having worked on plenty of fords i
thought should not take long whip out the atarter and the 20 or so 10mm bolts and it'll be out-my days how wrong could i have been after
wailling on it with a rubber mallett the swine would not pop off, turns out that some numpty at ford thought it would be a good idea to tuck two more
