OMFG first drive

Just took the TVR for a pre MOT spin down my 4 mile drive and back....

It doesnt drive how I imagine it would, which is a shame in a way...

But it deffinately feels very classic lol...

Buy good god... when you breathe on the accelerator it sounds like God has constipation....

Will be interesting to see how it drives once it actually gets out on the road properly.... It just didnt feel right somehow...

MOT tommorow though Hope she passses!

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Im hoping its just really bad tracking thats causing the weird feeling....

It is 37 year old technology... so its never going to be the same as the modern german piece of engineering I drive normally

So excited.... not quite as scared as the SVA for the kit car.... but its not far off!

Photos will of course be available tommorow if she passes

G've always had a soft spot for the tvr and a lad who lived on my street had an old coupe, all ford running gear and a huge rear window. Can't remember the model name. And he spent a fortune on the suspension to stop in being twitchy. Eventually he took it to a specialist and he was told "they all do that sir, its what makes them so entertaining." i don't think of them as a widow maker like the early turbo 911's but i'd expect to be towed out of a hedge by an irrate farmer at some point. Good luck with the mot

Haha... LOL!! Was proberably a TVR S series... Slightly more recent than mine..

Thanks for the confidence booster Spent 5 hours standing around in the cold waiting to get my mates 5 series pulled out of a ditch the other week... I DONT want tobe doing that with the TVR... its so fragile!!!

I would imagine like any car, if I replace the ancient tracter suspension with some modern adjustable coilovers and add some slightly bigger wheels, the handling would improve... but thats another £1500 that I dont have
